Born and raised amidst the vibrant rhythms of Cameroon, Olgha Nk is a dynamic singer, songwriter, and composer whose journey is as inspiring as her music. Her professional career took flight at just 17 when she stepped into a recording studio for the first time, lending her voice as a backup vocalist. This experience sparked a passion that led her into a whirlwind of performances, songwriting, and collaborations, honing her craft and her voice with every step.
Driven by an insatiable desire to deepen her musical knowledge, Olgha embarked on a transformative journey. Starting with the prestigious Berklee in Gabon Workshop in 2018, she further immersed herself in three years of intensive Jazz studies at IMEP Paris College of Music, gaining a rich understanding of Jazz’s depth and complexity.
Since then, Olgha has graced stages worldwide, sharing her unique blend of Afro-Jazz, jazz fusion, and Afro-traditional sounds. In 2023, she expanded her knowledge at the Umbria Jazz Clinic with Berklee College of Music and audited the New Music Program at Harvard, where she learned new composition techniques. She as well performed as part of the Harvard Jazz Ensemble for the 2023/2024 season.
Now, Olgha is channeling her experiences into her highly anticipated debut album. This collection will capture her evolution through Afro-Jazz, Jazz, Afro-traditional, and experimental tracks, blending her roots with a fresh, innovative sound.
